Friend with schizophrenia
I found out that an old buddy of mine has schizophrenia. is there anything I can recommend to his parents for him to take over the prescription meds?

Re: Friend with schizophrenia
1..... - I would recommend the following:
EMPowerplus Pills, search on line for this, it's very well tested and it works extremely well.
A gluten-free diet if possible. This can be the only cause in some cases.
In others it can be caused from toxoplasmosis, which quite often can be induced by cat scratch (if the fecal matter happens to be in the claws). If this is the case, then treatments of photoluminescence would be recommended.
Niacinamide taken 250 mg taken several times daily.
Finally would recommend lithium orotate (especially if they continue to eat wheat products) and Omega 3 fatty acids.

Re: Friend with schizophrenia
Approach this gently, the horror of schizophrenia will result in a knee-jerk reaction to put their child on potent anti-psychotics. And in the short term if this person is really psychotic, then anti-psychotics, may actually be needed to protect himself and others around him.
I never saw the link between schizophrenia and gluten. Thanks jdp710.

Re: Friend with schizophrenia
magic_gro - Quite often, many important things discussed and often recommended on this site will face some opposition.
I have found that if something that works well, carries no patent, is relatively inexpensive and threatens to put expensive, non-productive 'treatments' out of business, then the following quote should be thought of:
All truth goes through three stages. First it is ridiculed. Then it is violently opposed. Finally, it is accepted as self-evident
~ Arthur Schopenhauer
Also, please take note that some "quack watch" organizations are highly biased to the point of blindness.
Many natural treatments that are often ridiculed on quack watch work quite well. When real people have been
helped with cancer and then these "quack watch" sites pop up, they are deterring potentially life saving adjuncts to an over all treatment regimen.
I hope society will soon realize in greater numbers that government agencies and various organizations designed to raise money for ailments which there is "no cure" do not have our best interests at heart.
I never suggest a conspiracy, however what is quite evident is that money creates a tunnel vision so straight, that blindness is almost certain unless the organization has enough collective intelligence to reconsider it.
Once the decision has been made by an organization, then it becomes a potential legal matter.
