a question for CS
Sorry to say this isn't related to hair loss, but I have a few questions related to eczema and dandruff.
I believe I have what is called seborrhetic dermatitis (spelling) from propecia use that is still active. Although I don't break out with red patches, I get dry skin and dandruff on my eyebrows, nose, beard, forehead, a little on the cheeks. It is not an extreme case but I am going through the worst of winter in Northern Ontario, Canada so you can imagine this being a bit of a problem at the time being.
It seemed to have been alleviated over the summer (I stopped propecia in early March) but has returned very mildly in September. This is when I stopped taking a curcumin/resveratrol combination with warm milk everyday. I've been on it again for about 5 days now after reading curcumin might have the same effects as corticosteroids without the toxicity or adverse side effects. It seems to be getting a little better, at least I'm certain my nose has lightened up a bit. I remember reading on another hair loss forum it takes a few months to reach the full effect ( no dandruff). My knuckles aren't as red either if that means anything to you.
Do you know of any natural treatments for whatever it is I have aside from curcumin, which I think might do the trick if I keep it up. In any matter, I'll suppose I could keep the board posted, it can't hurt.
Also, ( I hope I'm not pushing my luck...but) my uppper cheeks seem to be a tad hollow (not as in sunken, but merely a lack of fat). Do you know of any fantastic products, aside from gaining weight, to help restore collagen in this area and whatnot without looking into something drastic like injectable fillers?
thanks

Re: a question for CS
fumanchu - For the hydration of skin, nothing works better than hyaluronic acid. I take two (Now Brand) double strength capsules per day. You'll notice a difference pretty quickly.
One thing that works for seborrheic dermatitis is lithium, being topical or internal--the only problem is it could dry out your skin a little and that is probably the last thing you need with the winter.

Re: a question for CS
thanks for replying.
hmmm..wouldn't I be better off using a face cream with small enough molecules of HA to get through the dermis so that it goes right to the source of the problem?
And I'm guessing there's pretty much nothing I can do to plump up my upper cheek?

Re: a question for CS
fumanchu - Internal is much better, it's worth a try.
