Excess testosterone? Empty Excess testosterone?

Post  j87x Thu Dec 03, 2009 4:41 pm

I always see people trying to increase testosterone, but is it possible that I might have too much? I feel that my sex drive is excessive, even when taking PM and fin there is no reduction in libido or anything. Could it be other hormones that are excessive? If so is there anything to further balance hormones? Does maca just raise testosterone or if you have too much will it balance it out?

Maca doesn't affect hormone levels.

How old are you?

hi blackjack,
you are RIGHT. my SHBG is extremely high but my E2 is in normal range on the low side. My E1 is on the HIGH side of normal range.

What does this mean?

reducing e2 will bring down SHBG therefore increasing Free T.

CMP with liver panel, have you done this?

im not sure thats the correct E2 test or what lab you are using.Estradiol, Ultrasensitive, LC/MS/MS (30289X)
or Estradiol Sensitive (4021) (range 13-54) ; either estradiol test is fine these test are from Quest Dianogistics.

SHBG is produced by the liver cells... maybe try cleaning up your diet / liver via herbs may help to reduce the 2.
Zinc will help also.
