This was talked about at regrowth some time back. I was looking into it and decided that if or when i purchase one, i'd buy one from saunaray.com. It's a Canadian company and they manufacture their saunas in Canada and not in China.

I was looking into this a month or two ago. I found this site showing you how to make one rather cheaply:

I remember looking into this a couple years back, and found some negatives to go along with the positives...not sure exactly what they were, but it was enough for me to drop the idea of an infrared sauna.

I love my sauna. If I'm in any sort of physical pain or sick, that thing is a god send. Not to mention it will sweat out the poisons and leave you feeling much better than a regular sauna. Would like to hear the negatives though, Nid. I only use it once in awhile, like if I go out drinking or have been around some toxin. Would definitely include a Fir Sauna room If I ever built a house and had the extra money.

That's a nice deal, usually they start at $900 and up!

I can't comment on that specific brand, but I can say that it is one of the best ways to detoxify.
I might give this a spin, I could actually afford this one. I'll see if I can find any reviews of it on-line.

You may make a DIY version yourself that works just as well for about $70. I've had mine for probably 6 - 9 months with no problems and some others on another forum have also reported no problems.

All you need is a small bathroom or closet, the correct bulbs, those long surge protectors and those sockets to screw in those bulbs into the electrical socket.

I've posted the short version of this before but here is the long version.

While not needed, a negative ion generator is also nice to place in the bathroom at the time as most saunas produce a lot of positive ions and can make you feel tired and lethargic.
