1..... - I've been curious about this myself but never looked into it until now. Unfortunately, the answer is yes. That said, you'll probably want to look into other avenues for anxiety, so there's always GABA, Magnolia Bark, Kava kava, Valerian root, etc.

Beware of the magnolia bark.
I've seen anecdotal reports and reviews from users saying that they experienced shedding.Don t know the mechanism behind it though...

1..... - That last time I found myself in a frequently stressful situation day after day, Ashwagandha did make things more manageable. Since it optimizes a cortisol and testosterone ratio, that think that contributes to its anti-anxiety effect. It works on a variety of systems, worth a shot for sure.

IH-
you mean the sensoril you have in your regimen page or ashwagandha whole plant?
I'm still trying to find something that works well to keep my genaralized anxiety under control.Haven't been lucky so far...
Can one take 2 caps of 225mg sensoril /day or it's too much?

I've had pretty good success with Suntheanine (L-Theanine) but for what its worth I have also been doing other things to address the problem.

edony - Sensoril is a patented extract of Ashwagandha, and according to the study, 225 mg twice per day (in divided doses) gave the best result.

I avoid all caffeine and take 300-400mg of L-Theanine and phenibut. 5-htp never helped my anxiety only l-theanine. Phenibut is good mood enhancer, mild relaxant and slight nootrophic.

Hapyman - can you mention some of the things you found successful ?
Occasionally ,when a stress situation ,I find it hard to control my mind.It keeps running to non-productive,repetitive thoughts.

Edony, same looping thoughts / concentration problem here, all my life.

Avoid caffeine, sugar / carbs (very important), I take 300-400mg L-theanine + 100-200mg phenibut in the morning and when I have troubles. In addition to simular vit/nutrical protocols here. Kava-kava can help but is slightly seditive, which can be an advantage if jumpiness is also a problem.

The IH protocol has helped along with niacinamide, heavy metal detox, magnesium oil, perhaps Iodine/Selenium/Zinc and also meditating.
