Laser Therapy
I've got the lasermax 50, and it has only been a week. I'm impressed so far. I don't want to get giddy yet. Just a BIG heads up.

Re: Laser Therapy
I paid $350. The guy had set up a "make an offer" auction for a few of them. First he rejected my $310 offer. My second offer was 350. Personally, I think i got a tremendous deal.
it's been a good week.

Re: Laser Therapy
Gibson - That's awesome, if I could only go back in time and not buy that overpriced hair max lasercomb I once did.
Re: Laser Therapy
here are some more impressions:
I love the design. I took off the lasermax sticker to make it more stealth-like. Aside from that, i find it easy to nestle my head under, and the on/off switch is an awesome convenience. The build quality is very good, although the power supply (walwart) is cheap. Assuming you can adjust a mic stand, you should have no problem getting proper height and angle. I also like the fact that it can be easily shared, although that is not my intention.
This overall, is a great design. Perfect for a laser newbie.

Re: Laser Therapy
I really like this concept, because unlike the laser helmet, which requires lots of time to assemble, the Lasermax 50 is ready to go.
I guess the diodes are not quite as bunched together, but I would imagine just sitting under the mic stand like device will automatically give coverage just by normal body movement.

Cool feature on this forum: it actually notified me that you had written a response before I published my last post.
I bought the amazing laser brush. You got bit much worse, no doubt.
OMG is correct on the subject.

Precisely, regarding coverage, I naturally move to exaggerate certain areas. This is quite comfortable to me, and I enjoy it. The front-angled section is well prescribed. The clusture is nothing to laugh at--obviously the helmuts pack more of a punch. But this is no weakling.

Keeping in mind, of course, that Nid offers to build people custom helmets for a very reasonable price, IMO.
Gib-- Congrats on the Lasermax (esp. for that price!). I think laser therapy is a big step in the battle.

Re: Laser Therapy
Lasers seem promising. Just this morning 70 laserdiodes of the "OMG" kind arrived in my mailbox. Actually
on top of it. I look forward to trying them, now I just need to build that damn helmet. Or some kind of mount,
anyway.

Re: Laser Therapy
Thanks EIC. Ya, I definitely can't match the $310 price for the LaserMax 50, though the helmet I design for folks definitely is superior to any LaserMax device due to the diffusion and the fact that your head is allowed free-range movement without messing up the amount of joules getting concentrated on a particular area of your scalp. I mean hell, just the lasers and supplies for a Hoaggie 50 are $217.50, and under 100 for labor is wayyyy too cheap for the amount of time they take (a lot ).

The offer I got on the Hoaggie was 250$ In labour alone !
Nidhogge, did the prices go down recently?

Re: Laser Therapy
No cpio, you seem to misinterpret what I write all the time. :0) I undercharge for labor at $250 for the helmet construction--trust me on this one. I can post every step and how long it takes if you really want, hehe...
I just listed the price for 50 lasers and supplies based on what I can get them for. I was mentioning the difference--310 for the LaserMax and 217.50 for just the supplies/lasers for my helmet would mean under 100 labor for me, which means I'd be working at probably minimum wage per hour or less.

Re: Laser Therapy
nid,
i paid 350 USD, not 310, shipping included. this, of course, is still a good deal.
is it true that you are working on a one-size-fits-all design? i think the butter is in ready to wear lol.
out of curiosity, what are your thoughts about taking a break? at 50 diodes, I feel like I need not worry about overdoing it.

Re: Laser Therapy
Laser treatments are cumulative Gib, you don't want to take a break. The biggest worry with an amount as small as 50, especially when they're focused lenses, is that only a small % of your scalp is getting the stimulation (and that's assuming that you don't move your scalp at all for 10-30 minutes).
But ya, the $350 is still something that I'd never match. Wouldn't be worth the time put in, though it's basically a trade-off in quality and price, heh. Pay for what ya get after all.

Re: Laser Therapy
And ya, I'm not exactly working on a one-size-fits-all design as I am planning on having an Aixiz prototype engineer create it for me. Priority is getting helmet orders fulfilled for now, and so far I do have a custom mold being created for me by them which will makes things a bit quicker. Once I have the capital and my debts paid off and what-not, then I can focus on shelling out the thousands for this design (and I am anticipating it will be thousands).

Re: Laser Therapy
Isn't the most important goal with laser therapy to, each session, reach biostimulation? And this seems to be pretty hard, or at least take a lot of time.

Re: Laser Therapy
10-30 minutes to reach it w/ a helmet, with a recommendation of 20-30 minutes. This being with your hands-free, and only every other day. Not too hard Mis!

Re: Laser Therapy
I'm not so sure about these helmets personally as I still have most of my hair and mainly need to thicken it and I think that my hair would probably block the lasers, whereas the comb bit would push my hair back, allowing the lasers to get to my scalp. Is there a best (or worst) in terms of a comb device? And/or is there a way to mod the helmet sort of designs to get better scalp coverage? At this point, it seems that the only way to get the best use is to buzz my hair off and last time I did that, it didn't look so great.
