Shampoo Base Empty Shampoo Base

Post  ITITCHES Thu Aug 20, 2009 10:19 pm

Switched to some sort of all-natural '77% organic' shampoo about two weeks ago and am currently shedding like hell. I could be seeing things - but I think my overall hair density has actually visibly reduced.

What I want to know is what does your shampoo of choice use as a soap base? What exactly is a safe SLS substitute?

Also, do you think I should quit this shampoo? What are everyone's experiences regarding increasing shedding - was it EVER a good sign? Sign of regrowth perhaps?

Oh and - perhaps of significance - there's a spot on the back of my head which would violently itch after shampooing - more so than any other. I always thought it a shampoo depository of sorts -a sign of badly washed out hair, but damn - come to think of it, no amount of washing would make it go away.

Maybe it's the hard water, huh? Does boiling it work any good at all?
