Seems like there is some talk about bee venom being a good DHT blocker (link to a forum chat below). I looked at some other sites also stating how well bee venom had worked to cease hair loss. Maybe worth a try. I have bought a tube to test out. If any one else is going to buy a tube could you please keep this thread updated with your progress.

Interesting, it sounds crazy at first, but it looks like it's worth a shot.

What type of cream did you buy? That poster used Venex, but there's also this one:

I read the study here:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/27040904

They actually found that bee venom was more effective than 2% minoxidil. Also, Venex apparently has the highest concentration of bee venom of creams/ointments on the market. I'm going to order some and give it a shot. I'm also curious about the getting some pure bee venom and making my own solution. You can purchase some here:

https://www.alibaba.com/trade/search?fsb=y&IndexArea=product_en&CatId=&SearchText=bee+venom

I guess I will wait to see how it works for Dazz_nz on Hairlosstalk.

I bought the Venex tube. I have not started using it yet, but I will soon.

The full study is here including images (although it is a mouse study of course):
https://www.jstage.jst.go.jp/article/bpb/39/6/39_b16-00158/_pdf

Vehicle used: distilled water, ethanol, and polyethylene glycol (in a 5 : 3 : 2 ratio)
Bee Venom was most effective in higher doses of .005% and .01% respectively
//

So it seems if I use the vehicle I only need to add .005% percent of Venex to that vehicle (if I understand it correctly). That would save me a lot of money (as it would stretch it out), as venex is expensive.

I've been using Venex for a few days now.  It was pretty expensive.  I couldn't believe how small the tube is.  I don't really like the ointment, so I ordered a whole gram of bee venom powder off of Alibaba, and I'm going to make my own mix.  Should be interesting.

Are you going to mix the powder with the carriers I mentioned above?

No, I don't have them. Where do you even buy these? Polyethylene glycol looks to be toxic.
