Viviscal is fish oil supplement that has been around for quite a while. But it only says that it makes hair look thicker and fuller. It doesn't say anything about regrowing hair. And it's not cheap. Something like $60/month. Has anybody tried this? Why is it still being sold if it doesn't actually regrow hair? If you are steadily losing hair it would be harder and harder to make your existing hair look fuller and fuller. Still, I might try this. Maybe it can kickstart the barely alive follicles to life again.

It's for people who have healthy hair but want it to grow faster. Eg, a model who needs her hair short this month but long next month.

I don't know if it actually works, but I've heard this is what it's used for.

It's been subjected to trials and it does have efficacy, more so for women. However, it does have certain applications in men too (severe digestive problems), however there is a cheaper alternative
