10 months on minoxidil with no results - safe to quit?

I've been using minoxidil foam for almost 10 months, with no visible results - in fact, my hair loss continued to slowly get worse. So I would like to ditch it altogether, and in theory this shouldn't cause the usual shedding of the regrown hair since I never regrew anything to begin with. But still there's this fear that some of the hair I have right now is "minoxidil-dependent". Is this how it works? Has anyone here been in a similar situation?

Any advice would be appreciated.

1 ) Taking niacin

and l-citrulline (for nitric oxide)

may mimic minoxidil internally.

2 ) Apple polyphenols allegedly work twice as well as minoxidil.

But it is dubious

Citrulline is the better version of arginine.

However they do the same thing.

I would *never* take minoxidil, ever.

Why? There are natural alternatives and mainly two really good reasons:

1) It ages the face (this in addition to all of the other side-effects that are not desired).

2) It has a low efficacy and also, once a person quits, there is that dreaded minoxidil dependent hair shed (don't worry, it will return).
