Good combo for emu oil topical?

What would be best to mix with emu oil to make a pro-hair topical?
I have seen saw palmetto and castor oil mentioned. I'm not sure what castor oil does, and does it not get sticky?
The best brands I can seem to find in the UK are Swanson and Rolls-Choyce emu oil. Both say they are hormone, pesticide free etc., but Rolls seems to be a much better deal.
