**Urgent!!!** Friend in final stages of renal failure, can anything be done????
Very sorry this is my first post. I have a friend who is in the final stages of renal failure, and according to allopathic approach, needs a kidney transplant to survive. I have no idea what the policy/potential liability ramifications are, so, sorry in advance. Please PM me here, or post in thread, or contact my other friend who is closer to the situation, at https://www.facebook.com/philipnikolayev

Oh, and also!!!----
Sorry, guys, not to imply that I'm asking for actual, outright kidney donations!!...BUT, I would appreciate if anyone has any strong information at all, about maybe any orthomolecular approach etc. (And at the same time, yes, IF anyone knows anyone who possibly might be able to donate...maybe it's a long shot, but I feel I have to ask!)

I did get it, CS, and thank you again!
That was a lot of great info! It's obviously a serious situation, but the fact is I'm not quite close enough to this person to be able to do more than tell my other friend of whatever info could possibly help, and warmly support him as best I can. And it is simply as you said in the PM: no matter how much we care, it can be hard to get people to really listen, in these situations. I'm sure I'll get more than long-winded about this kind of thing in future posts. (And believe me, there will be future posts. I've been lurking in this forum, for over 2 years now, and have learned a lot! And come to think of it, although I've lurked at a few MPB forums since the year 2000, my first post here, earlier today, was my very first post on any of them. Anyway, for now, I'll just say I think I might be able to contribute a little.)
And re the avatar pic, yeah, thank you! That is not just another pretty face, either. (And she IS a stunner.) That is the legendary Cristina Scabbia; at her best, the most electifying front-woman in the history of all of rock, and all of metal music, with a uniquely beautiful voice. And not only that, but one of the most warm and caring people you could ever meet. No one loves their fans more than she does.
Anyway, for now, thanks again, and thanks for being part of the solution! This is an amazing forum with great people and information. And I'll be chiming in at least a little, soon.

I'd be interested in the info you gave, CS. Or is this classified stuff?
I sure agree with this:
Someone I know is bummed because her son is allowing his thyroid to be taken out (today). He was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. She was hoping he'd go the alternative route with mega vitamin C, etc. Sigh...

Nothing really private, here's what I sent via PM:
In my experience I have found that in the vast majority of the time, family members who have already
chosen the conventional route will stick with it, no matter what (even though it may seen irrational).
My guess is that they are unaware of how abysmal standard medical sick care is.
And, they are also unaware of the alternatives. I wrote about Kidney failure, so you are welcome to
share this with them or read it and explain it to them in your own way.

Cool, yes I know who Christina is. Comalies was a great album (yeah I know that is from their earlier work).

Thanks for the info CS. Re what you say here:
You got that right!
Here's a cautionary true tale I heard recently:

Here's a cautionary true tale I heard recently:
A woman was diagnosed with cancer of the optic nerve. The specialist at Auckland hospital told her she would need to have her eye out in a month. She refused. After two months of being on her health diet with supplements, and giving up work temporarily, she has just been back to the same surgeon who cannot believe that the cancer has reduced almost by half. It was measured as 5.2mm when she saw him 3 months ago. Now, after doing her own therapy for 2 months, the cancer has been measured as 3.6mm.
If she had gone along with this doctor’s recommendation, she would have only one eye by now.
