The Miracle Tree (Moringa Oleifera) could it be an answer to hair loss?
A friend of mine was invited to the Salk Institute here in San Diego to hear a lecture by several scientists about the coming world food crisis, precipitated by growing population and shrinking farm land.
The whole lecture was about their work with a tree called the Miracle Tree, Moringa Oleifera. It evidently has superfood properties, and could be the answer to the food crisis. The Salk scientists are studying the tree to see if they can transfer the superfood properties to other plants. The Moringa leaves are made into a powder. One of the interesting things about this powder, in addition to having hyped up vitamins, is the fact that it can remove heavy metals from the body. There are two states where the Miracle Tree is grown, California and Florida. You can buy the powder on Ebay, I discovered. This sounds like it would be an ideal supplement for hair loss. Has anyone heard of this? If you scroll down in this Ebay link you can see some of the properties of this powder.

Steven,
It does come from the tropics, I believe, although i hadn't heard it called the tea plant. I know you can make tea from the powder, though. It has a ton of antioxidants and antiinflammatories. Have you taken it for anything? It has quercitin and betasitosterol, which seems a plus for hair loss.
