IH: Centyl (Bendroflumethiazid) for blood pressure?

I know of a person who takes Centyl for slightly slightly high blood pressure.

Is this a safe(r) drug?

cpio - The "Thiazide(s)" are generally a safer class of blood pressure medications and they act as diuretics. bendroflumethiazide can cause problems if it is taken with other drugs however.

This particular drug isn't as bad as some others in the same class, so that's good.

However, be aware that these drugs can interfere with potassium, sodium, magnesium and calcium balances

Other problems that are common are hyperglycemia and photosensitivity.
