Oxygen and hair
Could Oxygen be used to help hair? Some approached that I'm aware of that involve Oxygen include:
Oxygenated water
Ozonated water
ozone generators
Breathing some extra Oxygen from an oxygen tank regularly
Breathing deeply
Sitting inside a hyperbaric chamber
Care to comment?

Re: Oxygen and hair
Absolutly since microbes can't drive in a low oxygen environment.Could Oxygen be used to help hair?
Ed McCabe's book taks about every technique for raising oxygen, easiest and most effective methods would be:
MSM,
ozone water,
a complete mineral program
Mag malate, niacinamide and everything supporting ATP, makes up for low oxygen levels...

Re: Oxygen and hair
On the other hand, more Oxygen in the blood would cause more oxidation wouldn't it? Also MSM causes oxidation (kills cells).

Cells that aren't killed are called cancer.....if you think oxidation is bad I can't help you.

Re: Oxygen and hair
Well, Oxygen must be good for us.. oxidation is a byproduct of living so we must experience it. I started this thread because I'm wondering how increasing O2 levels in the blood impacts hair

You're on the right track.....good bloodsupply with lot's of oxygen and nutrition in it is a key in hairloss....

In low-oxygen environments, the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is favored; whereas in high-oxygen environments, more testosterone is converted to estradiol.

I saw small spray-cans of oxygen at some local store claiming to give a person an energy boost.

I was taught about excess oxygen and the danger of free radicals in medic school. We were taught that giving a patient with a possible stroke oxygen when their SaO2 is already 95% or greater could cause more harm than good. Did a quick search on google and oxygen toxicity came up....

hang upside down from an inversion table? 15 min a day? wouldn't hurt anyway.pancacke wrote:You're on the right track.....good bloodsupply with lot's of oxygen and nutrition in it is a key in hairloss....

I use niacin....gives more bloodflow than I can handle(use with caution)calvicie wrote:hang upside down from an inversion table? 15 min a day? wouldn't hurt anyway.pancacke wrote:You're on the right track.....good bloodsupply with lot's of oxygen and nutrition in it is a key in hairloss....

I totally second this.
Maximizing oxygen capacity is best done form within the inside out. Yes, short term use of HBOT or EWOT would be a help, but should be used in only short spurts.
HIIT and maximizing thyroid and improving blood flow via natural anti-platelet nutrients are the way to go.
