Re: colon cleanse unhealthy (CNN)?
I really think that article is based on nothing more then fear mongering. I recently had a colonic hydrotherapy session for the first time and the effects have only been extremely positive, especially for clarity of mind, skin and hair.
Enemas/Colonics have been practised since ancient egypt. Though Like anything, if you abuse it or do it incorrectly you'll get a negative result. Done properly I believe colonics are immensely beneficial to overall health and are able to achieve a cleanse that would be hard to attain otherwise . Over done of course they could be immensely detrimental.
I've heard amazing stories of people having bits of metal or random stuff they consumed when they were a child be flushed out of them with the use of a colonic.
Just a tip though, if you have one done, make sure you hit the probiotics substantially afterwards. With no bad bacteria to fight against the probiotics, they will flourish like never before.
