Re: Folate & B12 - cancer risk?
You create dietary imbalances by breaking up vitamins into individual components. You want to supplement with full spectrums of B and E vitamins. Just adding palm oil, brewer's and torula yeast to one's diet can easily help approach that goal.
One day, I believe the same will hold true for one-dimensional cholecalciferol supplementation. Current vitamin D3 supplementation is based in a better than nothing approach and limited to our understanding of how the sun interacts chemically and electrically with the full spectrum of the human body.

Those studies are flawed. I question their sources of funding. Take naturally derived sources of mixed B vitamin family and mixed E (tocopherols and tocotrienols: alpha, beta, gamma and delta) foods and supplements for optimal health and to prevent cardiovascular diseases and cancer.

Re: Folate & B12 - cancer risk?
I second 4039 - First of all, folic acid isn't even folate. Folic acid is a synthesized version of folate that the body must convert into folate and not everyone has this capacity.
Unfortunately, most medical personal have little idea that folic acid and folate acid are not the same, but they use the term interchangeably.
Folate is anti-cancer.
Folic acid must be converted into folate and if it is not that is when there can be a risk.
