Re: Jarrow changed their mind on Selenext
This product is really good for me as I take Pueraria Mirifica and suffered from sensitive nipples, and after a coulpe of days my gyno disappeared, it was not until I read a thread on Iodine and jdp701 posted the following information.
"Selenium is also essential for the production of estrogen sulfotranserfase which is the enzyme which breaks down estrogen. A deficiency of selenium can thus lead to excessive amounts of estrogen, which may depress thyroid function, and also upset the progesterone-estrogen balance"
So all in all I would recommend anyone who is taking phytoestrogens to also take selenium.
Like to say a big thanks to everyone on this forum, as I am a silent user, but enjoy all the information shared.
