St. John's Wort and sleep Empty St. John's Wort and sleep

Post  j87x Tue Nov 17, 2009 10:09 am

I've always had a problem with oversleeping and lack of energy, I would sleep 10 - 12 hours every night. When I started taking St. John's wort I started waking up much earlier. I now feel fine with 6 - 8 hours of sleep. It doesn't seem to have an effect on my mood at all, which leads me to believe that my lack of energy/oversleeping isn't related to depression. I don't usually feel depressed anyway. I've tried other antidepressant supplements but didn't notice any difference. I'm not really sure how it works, maybe it's allowing me to get a more deeply quality sleep.
