So I'm trying to hunt down the best:

1. Alpha Lipoic Acid (around 500-750mg/day)
2. NAC (around 1000-1500mg/day)
3. Ascorbic Acid + sweetener

Could you guys please give me your advices? I want these products preferably from Iherb and preferably as liquids.
I've heard that some of these products can be more or less destroyed by the stomach acids, is this true? If so,
what can be done in order to avoid this? Time-release?

The main purpose is to increase my glutathione levels.

Thanks!

Misirlou - Here's my 2 cents.

I'm partial to stabilized R-Lipoic acid, but you asked for alpha lipoic acid, so I'll give a link to both:

Thanks very much. Got any liquid suggestions? I was thinking of this one (NAC): http://www.iherb.com/Acetyl-L-Carnitine-Amino-Acid-Powder-100-g/15673?at=0

So I don't have to worry about "time-release" and such? According to MAX GXL their glutathione product is superior. It looks trustworthy but it's probably not worth the high price. Anyone?

That's not NAC, that's ALCAR.

This is NAC: http://www.iherb.com/NAC-Amino-Acid-Powder-100-g/10048?at=0

This is the ascorbic acid i use: http://www.iherb.com/Now-Foods-Ascorbic-Acid-8-oz-227-g-Powder/413?at=0

As for ALA: http://bio-alternatives.net/ALA.htm *filler-free
There are powder sources for ALA, but i wouldn't order them. Apparently, they don't last long.

Would 600mg of regular ALA be equal to 100mg of stabilized R-Lipoic acid?
