u should always be savvy about companies' return policies, etc. For instance swansons, gnc and whole foods have satisfaction guarantees. In other words, keep the receipt, try the product; if u don't like it, get a full refund. Vitamin Shoppe just changed their policy on open products, which is unfortunate, as I have sampled lots of stuff on their dime--perhaps I ruined it for others.

iherb are misers, i suspect--but they will take care of their good customers.
