Crazy stuff happening there now since the US has pulled out. The taliban is slowly taking back their country. I thought america trained the afghan army and left them lots of battle equipment for this kind of thing. Is biden doing a good job with this? Can this happen to iraq as well?

I think what is going on there is quite strange. As always investigation deeper into the subject will reveal more.

Biden hasn't done anything well. It's a complete clown world banana republic in the US, with a clown "president".

I think there is a lot going on in Afghanistan. I don't see this as a mistake of the US government. This is exactly what they always do. It is intentional. They want these countries divided, fighting and weakened. They did it in Iraq. The did in in Libya and now Afghanistan.

Nothing new really. Same old stuff.

But I think it is pretty obvious that our involvement there (or not) has never been about benefitting the American people.

Trump sold us out in Afghanistan. The now Taliban leader was in jail since 2010. Trump let him out and made deals. Biden has done the best he can with the garbage Trump left him.

The Afghan were fighting for a corrupt cleptocracy that they had zero faith in. Half ( enlisted) were getting paid about 25% of what they had agreed to, the rest was plundered by a shady officer corps and command structure. We knew this was going on and didn't do jack. it was so outrageous that they were taking money for soldiers that only existed on paper, and proceeded to live lavishly. The Afghan foot soldiers were not stupid, and refused to fight for again, a cleptocracy, that had our full support.
