Minoxidil is one of those accidental findings of a drug for hypertension that created an effect that would occasionally increase growth of hair on various areas, including auxiliary areas.

But why the fuss over something that barely works?

In my opinion it's the sulfated (sulphated) form that does most of the heavy lifting.
Minoxidil will not work in a sulfur/sulphur depleted person. Plus if one were to use minoxidil
adding animal form of Vitamin A, topically (all-trans retinoic acid) will make it work better.

Well that's an aside, so the active mechanisms of minoxidil have been speculated on for years. In part, it works by reduction of 5-AR--this is not generally well known. However, it is best known to increase potassium + ATP channels (adenosine triphosphate (ATP)-sensitive potassium channel (KATP channel) opener.

Are there ways to do this without looking like an ape?  Possible.

If we're looking at natural alternatives that match or best "Min-Tox-i-c-Kill"

Here would be my top 3, but really finding out the real reason we are losing hair might be better.

I digress.

(1) Certain internals in the right combo (based on results of specific lab results)
(2) Panax Ginseng (topically)
(3) Rosemary essential oil (topically)
