Protein Shake:
1 scoop of whey protein(Energy First)
1 scoop of Green powder( Green Vibrance)
8 Ounces of Rice milk
1 bannana
1/2 cup ice

Blended Very Deliscious!

Hey guys i found a good mixture to fill me up in the morning and also to help me workout. Caustic do you think its bad that i take my pills when i only consumed whats listed above in the protein shake. Let me know what are your thoughts.

Add fat... for example coconut oil, Extra virgin olive oil, etc.

Why?

Fat stabilizes insulin levels. I believe the rice milk and the banana could rise insulin levels a little bit too much/fast.


I would also use berries, healthier, non starchy, useful phytochemicals, etc.

But bananas are good, not saying they're bad at all...

Whey should be buffered with some good quality fibre to reduce spike in insulin - any good fibre (soluble) that you can find should do the trick. Drink the protein shake over time (space it out, perhaps sip over time) as opposed to gulping it in quickly. Whey can spike up the system...

Caustic- how bad is whey protein if youtake it everyday even if you work out 2 to 3 times a week?Beneficial or not good?

This shake i pretty much what i drink every day after work out regularly. Also i understand that Whey protein can spike insulin. Energy first whey protein only has 1g of sugar and stevia adds the rest of flavor. Would this blend still spike insulin? Here is the link:

For protein, I take hemp protein and I make homemade kefir (very high in NATURAL whey protein) which is also one of the healthiest things you can drink. Both work well for me.

I also take a green powder, which is great!

Whey is a bit too processed for my liking, but it's not too bad if it's clean sourced. Problem is, there's so much shit in 99% of whey formulas out there. The one OP mentioned is probably good since it's from grass fed cows and sweetened with stevia but it's over 40$ for 2 pounds...That's pretty expensive for whey.

The only problems with whey are going to arise if you are very dairy intolerant or sensitive to MSG and glutamate. There is a lot of free form glutamic acid in all protein powders because they are hydrolyzed.

I think powdered foods could be useful in times of food shortages, natural disasters or post apocalyptic scenarios but with a grocery store right down the block I'm always able to acquire the necessary protein without resorting to powder. I understand some prefer the convenience of just add water foods, though.

rather than flesh meats

avoid the "hard" amino acids, like arginine, cysteine, methionine

try to include the "soft" amino acids, like lysine, taurine, proline, glycine which constitute gelatine

yes, those are not scientific terms
