My poor head.. Empty My poor head..

Post  rustam0n Sat Apr 09, 2016 7:12 pm

My scalp is terrible. It gets really red, itches like no tomorrow, gives my head a "tightening" and sore feel, massive hairloss... it's just in overall bad shape. If anyone can enlighten me as to what this is or what procedures can help to alleviate this madness, I would be ever most grateful.

Thank you for everything,

- Russ

im not a dermatologist, but have you tried an anti fungal regime?

try this. alternating a chemical anti fungal shampo, with an organic shampoo and a spray on topical in a spray gun.

use selenium sulphide (selsun gold) or coal tar or nizoral 2 times a week.

use an organic non irritating shampoo the other days.

make a sea salt and tea tree oil spray mixed with water.

from that you can experiment, by alternating the different chemical shampoos, (but use only twice a week) and add different oils to the spray, like rosemary, lavender, GFSE.

also u can try dunking your head in a sink for of salty water. it can work wonders trust me. Also ive found a greasy diet will cause greasey hair and irritated scalp. vegetables help hair problems as much as they help anything else.

this is all to help the general health of the scalp however, not cure male pattern baldness.

Slather coconut oil all over your scalp, I think that's one of the reasons my dermatitis went away.

Extra Virgin CO?  And how much?

I drench my hair and scalp with it, after I'm done applying it and run my hands over my hair and scalp it makes a nasty "slush" sound, and drips all over my floor Very Happy

Also, maybe you could try Rosemary:

Buy a bunch of dried Rosemary leaves, heat some filtered or distilled water in a pot until it boils, pour a crap load of Rosemary into it, shut it off, cover with a lid or whatever, let it sit for a day, pour it into a spray bottle, and spray the hell out of your scalp while in the shower, or even just throughout the day.

My scalp used to get so itchy that it was almost impossible to not scratch it vigorously.  That is completely gone now.

If that doesn't work maybe try a mixture of 1 part Apple Cider Vinegar to 1 part distilled water and apply it the same way as the Rosemary.

get some dr bronners peppermint castille soap and mix with emu oil. Add it to wet hair and wait for the cooling tingle. Let it absorb into the scalp for half an hour then wash out. your scalp will be bathed in everything it is crying for.

Try onion+garlic+ACV topical, its cheap and can also help with hair loss other then the redness and itch (if used for a longer time period)

Do you guys think there are any other more "serious" methods to tackle this issue with full force? I'm not necessarily saying that topicals and rinses won't work, but maybe there are particular supplements or serious diet changes that I need to remove/ implement (besides the obvious?)

I'd attribute the rash on my shoulders going away to the Paleo diet, remove dairy, grains, gluten and sugar.

Also legumes, but I still eat those, so whatever.
