Self-education and research should obviously be a constant.  But if someone wants to become as knowledgeable about health as you are and actually help people, are there any credentials worth pursuing?

Because I'd rather throw rocks at people than become a conventional doctor.

It's a good question but difficult to answer. All I can suggest is once you are in a position to treat people, the learning seems to accelerate at that point. At at least for me, it's easier to connect the dots after you have heard so much person testimony and medical history. These days there are more options than ever before to avoid the conventional approach. Many of those I worked with started off as conventional MD's and then realized early on that it was façade.
