Thyroid Tests
So I've got an appointment with an endocrinologist last in the month, as ordered by my primary care doc bc of some high T4 and low TSH.
I know thyroid is such a hotly debated topic here and everywhere, so it's a bit confusing as to what it all means. From what i had read before it seemed that low TSH was good, because it means my thyroid was working on its own. However my doc got concerned with low TSh plus high T4 which meant HYPERthyroid.
So she ordered a bevy of tests and here's what my results were:
TEST VALUE RANGE
TSH < 0.02 .3 - 4.7
Free T4 1.7 .8 - 1.6
Free T3 373 222 - 383
Thyroid Peroxidase Antibody
(TPO) 75.2 < or = to 20
Thyroid Stimulating Immunoglob
<89 <140
Thyroglobulin 33.8 3 - 40
Thyroglob Ab < 0.9 <4.0
Thyrotropin Binding Inhib Immu
<1 < or = to 16
Now, based on plugging in those numbers and terms online (esp TPO) it means I might have some thyroid problem or disease. Maybe Graves? I have no f*cking clue. I've stopped supplementing with iodine (lugols, as per the IH regimen) recently, and want to see what the Endocrinologist says.
However, I'd love to hear some thoughts from some of the more thyroid well-read members on here. I know there's a lot of you that have spent more time on these types of tests, etc. Including CS.
Also, FWIW, I have no observable symptoms. Weight loss, high pulse, tremors, etc.
Thanks y'all!

Re: Thyroid Tests
AB (Anti-thyroglobulin) is not above range (neutralizing the elevated TPO)
You do not have it. Plus your TSH is optimal.

Thanks for the read CS! Appreciate it.
Is having elevated TPO a problem? Do these anti-bodies indicate that something is going on?

As long as you do not exhibit the symptoms. Do you take any selenium?
