Well actually it's a component they make called propolis which they use to repair their nests. Experimenters in japan found that it regrows hair on shaved mice much faster than normal. Yeah mice never go bald but they say it also has anti-inflamatory properties and can possibly help balding scalps.

propolis is already available in chemists and health food shops in australia, and has been, as far as i know just as long as royal jelly has been available. i wouldnt take it cos im allergic, (propolis and royal jelly may be ok for me, but im not going to risk it)

but thats good if it makes hair grow faster.

We all know of new Zealand manuka honey has antibiotic qualities and some do use shampoos and topicals of this on there scalps and wounds I wonder if there is a manuka propolis.

I have found a product already containing propolis for the scalp its a serum called regrogen made by iden have not tried it though.
