Do you have a few or more of the following symptoms?
• Fatigue
• Weakness
• Ache
• Cramp
• Unusual Pain
• Ice pick Pain
• Head Ache
• Light Sensitivity
• Red Eyes
• Blurred Vision
• Tearing
• Sinus
• Cough
• Shortness of Breath
• Abdominal Pain
• Diarrhea
• Joint Pain
• Morning Stiffness
• Memory Problems
• Lack of Focus/Concentration
• Word Recall
• Decreased Assimilation of New Knowledge
• Confusion
• Disorientation
• Skin Sensitivity
• Mood Swings
• Appetite Changes
• Sweats
• Poor Temperature Regulation
• Thirst
• Increased Urination
• Static Shocks
• Numbness
• Tingling
• Vertigo
• Metallic Taste
Based on the analysis of 6,000 patients in a growing database, 24% of the population is potentially susceptible
(vulnerable) to biotoxins, specifically toxic mold usually from water comtaminated buildings.
When the other 76% inhabit a water contaminated area, that has had the opportunity grow a specific variety of
toxic mold, they will produce antigens, allowing the body to seek and destroy those pathogens.
However, when the 24% who have an innate immune response become exposed to this biotoxic mold, they do not produce any antigens. Instead, their immune systems end up attacking its own tissue, having no recognizance of the invader (the toxic mold which travels along the bile pathways into various tissue) will have sustained elevations of TGF-beta1 and MMP-9, amongst others.
Could this be disastrous for hair? Yes, and it could cause a problem in many areas.
The following is a test that may suggest a problem with biotoxins.

Just when we thought we had everything covered, more things pop up. How lovely.

Dave228 - The good news is that this information will only apply to a very low percentage of the population. Even though some estimated 24% of vulnerable, they still have to be affected by the toxic mold in the first place.
Generally, this applies to intractable cases of chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, ADHD and Lyme's disease.

What would help against someone suffering from symptoms caused by toxic mold?

Re: Do you have a few or more of the following symptoms?
If several of the above symptoms are found, (multiple symptom problem without resolve), and upon a positive test result per the link at the top, the initial part of a treatment protocol is take a few week course of a cholesterol lowering drug (it's not the usual type of HMG-CoA reductase or statin), instead it is a bile acid sequestrant called cholestyramine.
What this does is trap the mycotoxins or toxic mold/fungus which is found along where the bile flows. This drug does not become systemic, but rather is limited through the gastrointestinal tract and then voided out the urine.
Here is more information in the form of videos (webcasts), avoid the first two videos on the screen and begin with the third video.

CausticSymmetry,
I'm not sure if this is applicable but thought you'd be interested just in case.

I've got a number of them, but probably not caused by biotoxins.

jdp710 - I think this totally applies. This probably explains why in biotoxin illnesses, patients are significantly more sensitive to wheat than the normal population.

In the past, I've tried things like this (below) as a sort of litmus test for any improvement, although I've never had a detectable problem with lectins.
However, anyone with mycotoxins, biotoxin related illness or anyone who suffer from many of the symptoms above might want to consider taking this product below, and observe any improvement.

Here is a really good recipe for glycoproteins that I've always wanted to try.
more info = http://curezone.com/forums/am.asp?i=811077
Glyconutrient Powder
Here are the powders, the glyconutrients they contain and the ratio for consumption (the ratio is by volume, not weight and is offered as a guide only. When I make it up I don't measure out everying exactly):
1 part ground fenugreek: mannose, galactose (buy it already ground).
1/4 part shiitake mushroom powder: N-acetylglucosamine, mannose.
1 part kelp powder: fucose, xylose, mannose, galactose, and glucose.
1 part whey protein isolate: N-acetylneuraminic acid. Alternative is beer or brewing yeast.
1 part bovine or shark cartilage chondroitin sulphate powder (loose or in capsules): N-acetylglucosamine, N-acetylgalactosamine). An alternative is Dumontiaceae (http://www.dynamune.com/#RMA) for the N-acetylgalactosamine. See also
regarding glucosamine hydrochloride from fermented corn.
1/2 part of ground psyllium (I use the husks alone because otherwise I have to grind husks myself. But purists may want to do the grinding) to boost the xylose content as there is not that much xylose in kelp.
