No fragrances as well; fortunately, it has a pleasant (in my opinion) smell due to the actives being largely derived from natural plant extracts (such as prickly pear fruit, swiss apples, and grape procyanidins).
CS, that's awesome to hear. Since it doubles as a moistruizer, that really helps. I have really sensitive skin (mild rosacea), so am wondering if it would be appropriate in this case. I'm also wondering, since there is no alcohol or drying agent, will it leave a "wet" or "oily" look behind when applied? I get that it is nanosomal, but a lot of other nanosomal products still use alcohols, so I'm surprised...

I personally use the topical at night, after my shower, and before bed. The reason for this is that the hot water and steam opens up the scalp's pores, which (combined with the liposomes in the formula) ensures maximum absorption. This topical absorbs VERY fast once thoroughly rubbed in. I would try to space it out away from the usage of other topicals to play it safe...using an enzyme peel before can only help as well.
Weren't you bald?

Slight mistake; after looking at the composition of the Tri-K actives, there is indeed some ethanol alcohol and a little bit of PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil (though that isn't quite the same as Polyethylene Glycol). That said, there are VERY small amounts of each of these...here are the exact percentages:
1) PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil: .15%
2) Alcohol (ethanol: .187
3) Phenoxyethanol: .038%
I can't seem to find the ingredient break-down for the Nano-Lipobelle S/100 PA, but regardless it would still be a miniscule amount. The majority of topicals out there contain alcohol or PEG as one of the primary ingredients, right at the top of the list when you look over the ingredient list on the bottles. It's hard to describe exactly what it leaves behind, but wet and oily wouldn't quite be how I'd describe it. Almost a smoothing effect on the skin...but certainly nothing that I wouldn't mind putting on my face prior to going on a date, if that makes any sense?
Additionally, you folks may be interested in checking out this "Mibelle Hair Booklet" which specifically gets into the hair aspect of many of the actives that we're looking, right from the manufacturer:

TravisB--
If I was, then someone forgot to tell me! Here are two pictures of me prior to shaving my head, and one after.
http://img809.imageshack.us/slideshow/webplayer.php?id=pic2me.jpg
I shaved it for a few reasons, but primarily for two. The first was that I got lazy with laser helmeting and, in addition to that, I purchased the 1-Tren supplement that Primordial Performance sold a couple years back. Combined, I lost some of the ground that I had gained, and then some. My younger brother (who looks a good deal like me) shaved his head and it was pretty well-received, and I had had long hair for about 6 years at that point, was sick of stressing over it, so figured I'd give shaving my head a spin. I wound up liking it, friends and family liked it, and so I've kept it.
But no...not bald. If anybody takes a 1 razor to their head, their scalps will look pretty similar. The only bald part, would be about an inch and a half on each temple though, interestingly, I'm getting some new terminal hair growth in those areas. Nothing to write home about, but every bit counts, right? It's now a lot easier to apply topicals, shampoo, enzyme peels, and so forth as well!

It's not necessary, though I personally recommend it. I just like the way it applies when chilled, and I know that one of the actives needs to be refrigerated prior to being mixed with the formula (even though I was assured that it wouldn't matter once mixed in the actual formula by the company that we purchased it from), so I figure why not.

Re: RejuvePlex Hair Loss and Anti-Aging Serum Information
Nid,
I figured there had to be some content in there, so thanks for clearing that up. I do like the fact that it is much smaller amounts. So do you think it would be ok for sensitive skin?
And last but not least, what are your thoughts of using it on the under the eye area?

I actually apply it under my eyes, rub it in pretty well, and have had no issues whatsoever. The "taste" of it is relatively sweet too (applied it on my lips a few times). I would think that it would work well for sensitive skin, as there is nothing particularly abrasive in the formula. I (and a friend of mine that has used RejuvePlex for about a week now), have had a few pimples pop up here and there, but that is pretty typical in my experience for something that causes die-off of bacteria and parasites.

Nid,
Thanks again for the info, hopefully you're right about the pimple issue. One thing I forgot to ask - would this be comaptible with lasers for hair growth, or is that too much stimulation? If so, when is the best time to apply?

Re: RejuvePlex Hair Loss and Anti-Aging Serum Information
Another question regarding fibrosis that hopefully someone will be able to answer. The skin on my head almost seems atrophied, it is very shiny, tight and wrinkles. I used one layer of tca over my entire scalp, I think it helped a bit. If you use a chemical peel (tca), more than once (say a few layers every couple of months) , does the damaged skin replace itself with healthier skin over time, and push the deeper layers of fibrosis to the surface of the skin, so that when you apply the next layer of tca, it will remove even more damaged skin?

When you hear the term "stimulation" used in reference to laser therapy, it moreso refers to the duration of lasering necessary to get optimal nitric oxide and SOD production, bloodflow, and anti-inflammatory action. An easy analogy is to consider tanning--30 minutes will give much more noticeable results than just a few minutes under the sun. But, as far as if the two products can be used together, I feel that they would work synergistically.
In my opinion, the best time to apply any topical is after a shower due to your pores opening up from the heat and steam. Additionally, our bodies regenerate over night, so I tend to take a shower at night before bed, apply the pumpkin enzyme peel from Mychelle.com on my face and scalp, wash that off after 5 minutes or so, then apply the topical and massage thoroughly into my scalp and face. If you want to apply it twice a day, then upon rising (or after your shower if showering in the morning).

I believe the way it works, is that the scar tissue gradually gets dissolved and is then replaced by healthier, younger skin. I'm not sure how much the TCA peel ought to be applied though...if you go to http://www.makeupartistschoice.com/ or http://www.PlatinumSkinCare.com and give them a call, you'll speak with someone pretty knowledgeable in peels. They may not be able to give much in the way of scalp advice, but facial advice (which is very similar) is their forte.

Re: RejuvePlex Hair Loss and Anti-Aging Serum Information
Regarding fibrosis or scar tissue. A long-term internal approach of specific nutrients serves an important defense against hardened collagen formation and vascular calcification.
Enzymes (proteolytic) can embolize (wash away) or lyse the hardened collagen. Then, vascular calcification, which is associated with uncarboxylated matrix Gla protein, which is remedied with supplementation of vitamin K2.
Aggressive MPB is marked by elevated Lipoprotein(a), an adhesion molecule and is accompanied by a layer of misappropriated calcium.
By ensuring adequate levels of Vitamin D, Vitamin K, Magnesium and iodine, this process of adverse collagen remodeling can be halted.

Just a reminder that everybody should make sure this does not stay outside in the mailbox too long, as freezing will apparently destroy it.
Quote from Mibelle:
Quote from Mibelle:
More or less all frozen emulsions will be destroyed after thawing. The reason is emulsions are stabilized by water mainly on their dipole effect.
When you crystallize water this effect is lost and the ice needles destroys the surfactant oil interaction.

Anyone else think CS looks like Jake Gyllenhall?
One thing is for sure, CS, your supplements sure are working especially when it comes to aging, you look to be about in your young 20's. How old are you anyway?

Re: RejuvePlex Hair Loss and Anti-Aging Serum Information
Just used my first application of this! The 1-day shipping caught me by surprise!
I really like the smell of it... makes me think of smoked seaweed or.... art class... it smells like paints for some reason
Anyway it killed the slight itch that came from a glycolic peel 5 minutes prior. That itself made it worthwhile. I'm still guessing on how much to apply though, and how much to rub it in. I placed about 3 drops on each temple and rubbed it in till nearly dry.
Very interesting solution Nid! Quite curious to see how/when this all pans out.

Did you guys consider adding anything, but then decide against it for a specific reason? Such as EGCG, l-carnitine, and others that have been discussed before.

Re: RejuvePlex Hair Loss and Anti-Aging Serum Information
Hi there.
I´m interested in using rejuveplex both for my face and scalp. I have three questions:
- I´m on finasteride since 18 years... I think this has caused me to have a clear lack of facial hair. The last thing I want is to use a product which will reduce hair on my face. Can rejuveplex decrease facial hair?
- I use concealers for my hair loss and I wash my hair every two days. I think I´d only be able to use rejuveplex 2-3 times a week, during night. Would it still make a difference?
Thanks

j87x--
We didn't consider those particular ingredients, rather, we stuck to friendly natural cosmetical ingredients that had some good research behind them rather than just pluck a random herbal extract that may or may not work. Paying a little more for research and liposomal encapsulation is well-worth it.
hairze--
Leaving concealers on overnight is not good at all for your scalp and hair...those really ought to be washed off before going to bed. This coming from someone who used concealers for quite a few years. What concealers do you use exactly? I do not recommend any form of "make-up" such as Dermmatch as the ingredients are caustic and can easily lead to increased inflammation and exacerbation of hair loss. I exclusively endorse Hair-Tek (much better than Toppik, and consists of natural ingredients).
I'm sure that using it 2-3 times a week would provide some benefit, but that would really be up to you to decide as it seems to consistently get rid of the "MPB Itch" (inflammation) when applied, however, one can't say how long that effect will last if not applied daily.
Regarding a reduction in facial hair--I wouldn't see any reason why it would decrease facial hair, so that should be OK!

A question:
From the ingredients it didn't seem like there was any lecithin and/or any phospholipids in RejuvePlex? Does this mean you didn't go the liposomal/nanosomal route after all, or is there something else in there that makes liposomes?

Re: RejuvePlex Hair Loss and Anti-Aging Serum Information
Hi goten--
I don't think we'll ever know if anything helps everyone for hair growth, as everyone's situations are their own. For example, Minoxidil and Finasteride are FDA-approved for hair loss and have been so since the early 90s, but they don't work for everybody. Additionally, they may work real well for some folks, and real poorly for others, though both generally give negative side-effects to everyone (if not in the short-term, then the long-term).
As for RejuvePlex, it's designed primarily to prevent inflammation, clean up bacteria/parasites/fungus (causes of inflammation) off of your scalp and face, eliminate dry skin and dandruff, extend the hair growth phase, and a number of other things that the ingredients have been found to do in studies. The best thing we can do is figure out the general causes of hair loss, and address those causes. By doing so, we'll minimize our risk of losing more hair, and provide a good environment for hair growth.
We know that inflammation is the final link in the hair loss process, so by mitigating inflammatory causes, RejuvePlex can reduce the swelling within the bulb of our hair follicles, allowing both better bloodflow to the bulb (which allows the follicle to get the nutrients it needs), and more room to grow (allowing for thicker hair).
