Joejoebaggins - It's my first timing hearing of it. Ever since the tryptophan scare, amino acid production as been under intense scrutiny. The price isn't too bad either.

Care to elaborate on that scare? I vaguely heard something about it some time back...

nidhogge - It is old news, but what happened was there was a producer of tryptophan in which many batches of their product were contaminated and tryptophan was banned after some deaths. It was perfect timing for the FDA and the makers of Prozac, since they reach approval with it, while the FDA banned Tryptophan for many years. It worked very well for depression and insomnia. It's available now, but many still think it's banned.
