Re: Beginning my oil pulling journey
Yes, every day. If you still have doubts, you might post your question at the very active curezone oil pulling forum.

Re: Beginning my oil pulling journey
Welcome CS! I'm using the magnesium oil orally myself and I can see and feel the difference. It doesn't taste great but it's so worth it! I still do regular
oil pulling with coconut or olive oil with MSM powder and liquid COQ10. Sometimes I'll swish with the magnesium oil instead and I brush with it every day. Who needs dentists?

Yes. I know that is not ideal but I am not noticing any ill effects, I do take in a number of mercury-chelating substances.

Re: Beginning my oil pulling journey
I'm sorry having to bring this up, but this actually looks promising. I will be trying this next week. So basically you buy a bottle of Sesame oil, put a couple of teaspoons of it in your mouth, swish it for a minimum of 15 minutes and then spit it out and that's it oil pulling session is finished?
If sesame oil is the best, then it must be as organic as possible right? What oil specifically would be the best?

Re: Beginning my oil pulling journey
According to oil pulling dot com:
"What other Oils can be used for Oil Pulling Therapy?
"Dr Karach had suggested refined sunflower Oil. Sesame Oil was prescribed in Ayurveda texts for Oil Pulling Therapy. Both oils worked well in curing health problems. Some found sesame oil better. Other oils have been used by some practitioners on their own, and they did not report desirable results to enable me to recommend. Some other oils may be suitable for particular problems, but I do not recommend for daily practice.
The quantity of 10 ml of oil is too little for Oil Pulling Therapy. Can we do with 20 ml of oil?
When we do Oil Pulling Therapy the entire oil should become thin, like water and no oily feeling should be left. When that happens, we would have utilized the entire oil for the purpose of Oil Pulling Therapy. This happens within 15 to 20 minutes for most of the Oil Pulling Therapy. If the quantity is increased it takes more time to become watery and white and many would not like to spend more time on pulling. Spitting when it is still oily is waste of oil and a feeling of freshness does not come which is not desirable. If you feel a few ml of more oil is required to try, there is no harm. This is also the reason for suggesting only five ml of oil for children."
I wrote an article about this, some time ago and when I reviewed the medical literature, only these two oils were studied (not anything else).

Re: Beginning my oil pulling journey
There is a very active forum on oil pulling at curezone.
http://curezone.com/forums/f.asp?f=738
Posters there use many different oils with success, including sesame and sunflower. Coconut oil is known for its whitening power.
And here's an article that suggests olive oil is ideal for oil pulling because it is "able to penetrate even the hardest bones and bring healing where it is needed."
http://www.healingteethnaturally.com/oil-pulling-dental-healer.html
(That article quotes someone that we should not practice oil pulling if we have amalgam fillings, but plenty of people do and they still benefit.)

Re: Beginning my oil pulling journey
You might try magnesium oil. People have reported strengthening of the teeth using it. I'm hooked, myself.

Anyone on this forum still trying oil-pulling?
Have been trying it recently and experienced vivid dreams during sleep. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I have gone on and off it, am on now, using olive oil. Now that you mention it I do have more vivid dreams, and I sleep well, but then I also take melatonin...

Re: Beginning my oil pulling journey
Had not done oil pulling since my last post on this thread. I tried again last night and surely enough had several vivid dreams, and I had not dreamt in months.
Just wanted to post it in case someone is curious about oil pulling. I doubt at this point that it is coincidence/chance.

Re: Beginning my oil pulling journey
Some form of oil pulling is crucial for oral health. I wouldn't want to see my teeth and gums had I not discovered oil pulling from this forum. I'm pretty sure I've reversed potential cavities and even un-receded my gums. I'm not saying it didn't take years and a bunch of trial and error on which ingredients to use (Goldenseal, Turmeric Oil, and Coconut Oil are my favorites). JDP also recommended pulling red wine and grape juice as another stronger method, which definitely pulls out something (extremely quickly, I might add), but can also temporarily strain your teeth if you do it too much.
In short, everybody should oil pull regardless of hair health.
Also, if anybody wants to do a "dream quality" experiment, I'm pretty sure vivid dreams can be triggered by a violet ray placed on your head for a minute or two before bedtime. Even the cheap $30 violet wands to the forehead make dreams noticeably more memorable and intense. It's one of those life hacks I'm pretty sure works every time, but I always forget to do it even though it makes sleeping way more fun.
If anybody has an old violet ray lying around, let me know if it supercharges your dreams.
