Hello,  I this thread is where I decided to post some of the defining photographs of my regrow process.

I ASK OTHERS TO NOT POST HERE ,  but use the other thread that has all of the discussion,  method, and theory.
https://immortalhair.forumotion.com/t11746-regrowth-photos-dt-cpr-method

I have taken the time to dig through the archives of photos and come up with some measurements and useful comparison photos. I will also post a few of the updated photos here from time to time,  but mostly I will also use the other thread also.

Use your mouse right click to open photos in a new tab.

First are some old comparison photos of the side temples.  They take some concentration to compare.  I am really just focusing on the well developed hairs after 5 months filling in.  In the next post I will show the upper area, that is easier to see the difference.

What I did to measure is pretty obvious by the pictures.  I am pointing out the regrow just behind the straight line.

basic temple very early

close up with line
https://i.servimg.com/u/f86/19/35/15/42/20151112.jpg

from a few weeks  ago
I was showing some of the light regrow area,  but you can see the light fill behind the line
https://i.servimg.com/u/f86/19/35/15/42/lines10.jpg

2 recent from a few days ago,  the hairs were shaved about a week ago, but you should be able to see the density of fill behind the line.  There is a magnifier on the photo if you click on it.
https://i.servimg.com/u/f86/19/35/15/42/20160311.jpg

Actually I think that the upper measuring curve has moved/grown forward about 1/2 inch, so the progress may be more than perceived with the line,  but have to measure some how.  I wish these hairs were longer for the photos,  I shave them close because they are full thickness hairs that grow to full length.  There are plenty of photos of thickening fuzz on the other post,  the hope is that this shows that some hairs can become full size in a few months.  Of course there are hairs growing in many other places,  it is just a challenge to show the process along border areas.

PLEASE - post only on the other thread

Here are some before and after of the area above the temples, these should be easier to see. Of course there are old hair transplant grafts to help navigate with.  Remember, without the grafts these hairs are regrowing far from the current hairline.

Photos a week before 6 months

Just a few photos of the area just below the grafts area and also to show how the grafts sub mat is filling in.  I am doing a bit of active posting now, as soon the hairs will look just like the healthy grafts.

area below grafts, normal hair is all shaved flat so is not showing in background, this area was previously hairless
https://i.servimg.com/u/f86/19/35/15/42/20160412.jpg

can see upper hairs near terminal stage, also you can see the thick isolated hair.. this was one of around 10 that just popped out randomly full diameter

Photos at 6 months and 4 days.
I had to do some update photos for the other people and will post a few of them here. The lengthening process is going well. This is happening on the back of the head also, but I am not able to photograph there.

the longer hairs you see are not background old hairs- they are regrow ; as the old hairs are clipped very

Selected DT-CPR photographs Empty Six months and 3 weeks photos

Post  cdto2012 Wed May 11, 2016 1:00 pm

A few of the guys have been asking for new photos.  I keep my hair very short these days, so I had trimmed and even shaved my regrow hairs that were over an inch long.  I also shaved the V area,  so the photos are just of the area of decent lengthening over the previously slick bald area (even some of these hairs have been trimmed). This area is just below the grafts.

What is not shown is the general density improvement along the hairlines or sides that is substantial.  I do see hundreds of hairs lengthening at a steady rate far from the hairline.

These are the ones (out of your hundreds) you carefully prepared months beforehand, right? No doubt you been trimming your hair, then gluing each trimmed hair strand on to your bald areas, then photographing them with every increment. I'd say your little hoax took you a whole day to achieve.

P.S. When your hundreds of photos run dry, you're fucked - like Drexx LOL Don't worry, just disappear for a while, then return months later and tell everyone you lost ground and your hair fell out again.

If I had the skill to fake these photos with trimmed hair and glue I would be working for special effects for hollywood making a lot more money than wasting my time preparing hundreds of photographs for zero profit.

I do not know who you think you are helping being rude and stupid.

Photos a few weeks past 8 months into treatment

Hello,
I am trying to post often as my hairs in a previously slick bald area develop into full diameter long hairs. What you see in the photos are about an inch from the recently shaved hairline.  You are not seeing background thick/transitional  hairs from the normal hairline, featured are new hairs that are becoming normal hairs (along with obvious thick grafts).

What is unique about this stage of development is that the new hairs are still blonde making them recognizable. There are a few silver full diameter silvergrafts, but mostly you are seeing new hairs go terminal.  This is happening in many other places, but if I showed pictures of this (as I have in the past in the V area) it would be hard to tell what is new vs never regrown - as these areas have now progressed over 1/2 inch forward. I keep all of the normal hairline shaved now because it is patchy looking with the regrow.  The area photographed is near my forehead, and if the hairs were black I might shave them too. I actually do trim what is photographed, as a few of the hairs grow to full length.

Selected DT-CPR photographs Empty Photos update 7 1/2 months completed

Post  cdto2012 Fri Jun 03, 2016 1:19 am

Just a quick update to show the same featured hairs thickening on both sides. No border hair shown, just an isolated demo area and the grafts.  I will not be around this lighting and mirror for a few weeks so am posting an update. The silver and black hairs are the grafts, blonde are regrow.

A few update photos. I let the border areas grow out after being shaved for 10 days. This shows how the hairs have thickened and blending into the hairline. I have avoided doing this because it only shows the hairs that are in fast grow mode, and none of the slower growing thinner density hairs can be seen yet near the hairline.

Selected DT-CPR photographs Empty Inversion photo 8 months and 3 weeks

Post  cdto2012 Sun Jul 10, 2016 2:04 am

Since I have photoshop I thought it would be interesting to show what the regrow would look like if the hairs were black. The photos are from the same original. The inversion basically reverses the colors - makes white black. I also adjusted the contrast and hue.  There is no altering of the hair counts or diameter or hairs - or any photographic alteration - just color changes.  If you are able to view the photos side by side you can see this. (use right click menu to open in new tab or window)

For me it is a decent illustration of progress. I am sticking to a style of documentation that seems on the slow side.  I am just showing new regrow areas develop. The border areas are where the thicker blending regrown hairs are at, but I have shaved most of these areas with my partial head shave every few days.

Anyhow in about a week I will post some before and after photos to mostly map out the areas of regrow and the amount of time they are taking. As the inversion photo shows,  regrow is happening,  it is not always easy to see, and takes a while.

original- note that almost none of the hairs are grafts (very thick hairs on top) - almost all new regrow
also this area is far from the hairline in an area most difficult to regrow (area beside grafts was slick bald)

Selected DT-CPR photographs Empty 9 months completed photos

Post  cdto2012 Sat Jul 16, 2016 7:29 pm

9 months completed photos

Hello,    I did do a bunch of archive digging to try to show some clear areas of density improvement. I have some before and after areas of the sides,  but it is really hard to judge from the angles, difference in hair cuts, and other factors to measure hairline progression and density increase.

When I did a lot of the early photos they were very close up to show the new micro growth. Now those photos are not so useful for showing far away comparisons.  I have some photos that I could post, but I think I will skip them for now.   I will stick with what shows the most clearly a thickening of hairs at fairly close range.

Many months ago I showed photos of the V area - where the side hair meets the grafts. That hair in the V area has since thickened enough that I shave it with the sides and back now, otherwise I would have a ridge of thick fuzz and some full length hairs sticking out .

The past few months I have been focusing on the very front of the temples,  up where they meet the grafts.  In this area I can take pictures without any background dangling hairs possibly from the original hair line. This is a difficult area to regrow for most that attempt it.
Here are my general observations and inquiries.  The hairs seemed to regrow in reverse order as when I lost them.  The sides started first, then the V area, finally the front upper temples. It seems that the follicle needs to develop in width before the hair will extend to grow quickly and to full  length.  It is the development of this diameter thickening that seems to take the time.  Once the area starts to thicken the mat, every week a few hairs extend.  This is what I will continue to show.  Also I took the opportunity to show the new hairs filling in between the grafts.

Of course I wish it was a faster process,  but if it takes a year or two to regain 20 years of loss, it is well worth the dream of having thick real hair for the rest of my life.

Selected DT-CPR photographs Empty 10 months completed treatment

Post  cdto2012 Mon Aug 15, 2016 6:04 am

Finally at 10 months completed treatment. Might add more to these photos or comment on them again soon. Basically it seems that the hairs are thickening and lengthening in mass. The photos are of the area next to the grafts that was previously slick bald.  The blond colored hairs are all new growth.  The black are usually old grafts,  but there are a few new hairs that have turned black.  I posted on the other link below the 3 possible reasons for this improved regrowth. One of them is the method for green tea and coconut treatment that I have added. The other is that I use a new tool ( PVC elbow) that digs a bit deeper. Otherwise it could just be the stage of the massage pressing process.

There is no background border hairline shown, this is far from the hairline on the temples just beside the grafts.

Photos at 11 months finished

Photos of both sides in the focus area that was previously slick bald.  Between the grafts there was always some fuzz,  but now these hairs are getting longer and look much like the grafts. Some of the longer terminal hairs are new. Still far from coverage in this area.  Some day I might  grow the sides longer to show where the coverage has filled in.  You can see the gray on my skin from my tatoo playing around.

Not so many photos today.  Hard to tell if there is a 30% lengthening or 30 new terminal hairs this month. Mostly as I come upon a year I can say that I have stopped loss,  have some regrow, and these are not temporary hairs.  Also with each month there is more regrow.  Slow,  but I am not another year progressed toward total loss.

Notice where the black hairs start near the top ,  below this is all new hairs that are going terminal ( they are light colored)

Regrow photos at one year and 3 weeks
Still tracking the progress of the thickening of the hairs in the temple focus area. Looks like slow but steady progress. A repost of my thoughts below.

I was thinking about the regrow timing. If I could show 10 new terminal hair a month in just the few inches of the focus area, that comes out to a hundred new hairs; as my total balding area is around 10X the size of the focus area. Ten new blonde hairs do not cover much, but my $5000(years ago) transplant was only 500 grafts.

Of course the hairs grow thicker and faster in the hairline border areas. The focus area would be far from any original hair if not for the grafts. The focus area was slick bald and useful to isolate.

The photos have a few notations to help understand the progress.

One year and one 1/2 month update .

Well the regrow continues slowly but surely.  Here is the previously slick bald focus area again. There is no background borderline hair showing, I just shaved it flat.
The darkness on my scalp is a tatoo.
Plenty of the new blonde  hairs are starting to curl, as my original hair was curly.

One year and two 3/4 month update .

The regrow continues slowly but surely.  Here is the previously slick bald focus area again. There is no background borderline hair showing, I just shaved it flat.  It is getting hard to separate the new terminal hairs from the old grafts.

The nearby hairline has progressed  so much nearer  that it would look really impressive if I was not shaving it bare to isolate this area.

The darkness on my scalp is a tatoo.

To show the base mat thickening below the grafts,  they are getting visible from a distance, and if they were black they would be even more noticeable.
Some of the new blonde  hairs are starting to curl, as my original hair was curly. The light is very bright and many areas are shaved bare.

Mostly the old grafts are the black hairs near the top,  but some of the new terminal hairs are black now too.  All of the light hairs are the new regrow. I do cut many of these new hairs, as they grow full speed and length.

If this takes 2-3 years to regrow what I lost over 20 years,  I am content that it is just consistent regrow.

This amount of regrow is in an isolated area on my temple far from the old hairline, the regrow across the entire scalp is this much or more at the borders.  It is slowly turning into a fuzzy mat visible from a distance.

One year and 5 month update .

Doing another 10 day liquid fast,  did an enzyme treatment a few days ago and colored the hairs a bit darker with dye for visibility. Glad to see that the poison from the dye smeared on the scalp showed that the hairs are stable and scalp healthy enough to resist the chemicals.  Not the color I wanted, but it does show well the lengthening hairs.  The progress is encouraging,  to be able to get the base mat of hundreds of hairs to 1/2 inch would be nice, after that they slowly go into hyper grow mode like normal hairs.

Here is the  focus area again. If some of the areas look slick bald, it is due to light exposure, or I did shave some areas.  . The darkness on my scalp is a tatoo.

here is a baseline from 17 months ago

The hairs do get thicker and longer as they progress towards the hairline,  the focus of the photos are far from the hairline near the forehead, of course the thinnest areas.

One year and 7 month update .
Been busy lately, and plenty of work stress, but the photos should show the slow progress of the thickening base of hairs. The light and shaved area make it a bit hard to see location as it makes areas look bald , but the grafts are still black, and the new regrow is the blonde.

First one is of the previously slick bald focus area.

Others to show density slow increase.

Not much new.  Using a metal bristle sharp dog brush, and a topical with green tea, pinch of seaweed, and wasabi concentrated in water.  Ran low on cinnamon oil so trying without it for a while. Still pressing with PVC.  See the main thread below to comment and for details.

Just going to copy some of last update text and post some new photos

you can see the spacing on the grafts and how little they cover, the light makes the blond hairs beneath them invisible

A few basic photos that show the new hairs and how the grafts are spaced. Some photos have the new hairs catching the light and showing some density as they thicken as a mat. Overall I am glad to see sure growth that continues to lengthen.

Hi , suppose it has been around 2 years and 4 months.

Here are the latest photos showing the terminal hairs filling in . If you want more details refer to the previous thread.  The first photo is text illustrated and shows the area in green that was slick bald before.  I also include a photo of the dog brush that is wire bristles that I use.  The tips are 45 degree angle and pretty sharp.  The point is to induce a sharp pain, not sand down your head, although I scrape for about 5 minutes of wake up pain daily.

I always shave the background hairs from the focus area, but the hairline is proceeding forward, so the shave does take away many terminal new hairs.  Right click to open in new tab.

next two are showing the new terminal hairs in the focus area.  They eventually all will thicken a bit more and turn black I think.
